1. Who we are

SportSmart4Life (sportsmart4life.co.za and sportsmart4life.com) is a South African learning platform for sport spectators, operated on the FlourishIQ platform. This policy explains how we handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, we honour the same rights of access, correction, deletion and objection described below.

2. Information we collect

Your name and email address when you register or contact us; your learning activity on the platform (tool responses, quiz results, SpectatorIQ scores, badges and streaks) so that your progress can be saved and shown back to you; and payment confirmation details when you buy something. We never see or store your card details. Card data is handled entirely by our payment providers — PayFast for South African purchases, and Paddle for international ones.

3. How we use it

To run your account and save your progress; to show your SpectatorIQ growth and, only if you opt in, to share it within a household or league group you join; to respond to messages you send us; and to email you about your access and, with your consent, about new modules and features.

4. Who we share it with

Nobody, except the service providers who make the platform work:

• PayFast — payment processing for South African purchases.
• Paddle.com Market Ltd — our online reseller and Merchant of Record for international purchases. For those orders Paddle is the seller, and it processes your payment and billing details as its own data controller under its privacy policy. We receive only confirmation that an order was paid, plus the email address needed to deliver it.
• Our email delivery provider — transactional email.

We never sell your information, and we never share it for advertising.

5. Keeping your information safe

Data is stored on secured servers with access limited to platform administrators. Connections to the site and platform are encrypted (HTTPS).

6. How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. You may ask us to delete your account and its learning history at any time, after which we retain only what tax law requires for purchase records.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page and we will respond promptly.

8. Cookies & local storage

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. No advertising trackers.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date.
